Stephanie Matherne

A native of Charlottesville, Virginia, Stephanie attended Rice University in Houston, Texas, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude,  in History. While at Rice, Stephanie volunteered with the Houston Area Women’s Shelter where she developed an early interest in family law. Stephanie attended the University of Texas School of Law. While at UT Law, Stephanie was a student attorney with the Domestic Violence Clinic, where she continued to develop her skills as a family law attorney. In law school, Stephanie was named a Public Service Scholar with the William Wayne Justice Center for Public Service, in honor of her commitment to public service legal services.

Stephanie graduated from UT Law in May of 2014 with honors, and was licensed to practice law in the State of Texas in November, 2014. She is a member of the Austin Young Lawyers Association, the Family Law Section of the Austin Bar Association, and is an active volunteer with the Rice Young Alumni Association and Rice University Alumni Volunteers for Admission.
